baccalaureate degree in criminal justice or related field from a regionally accredited university
a copy of an official transcript from each institution where course credit was granted
minimum 3.25 GPA in your last 60 hours of undergraduate course work (plus any completed graduate courses)
Research and Non-concentration applicants:
official GRE (general test only) required with competitive scores in the verbal reasoning and quantitative reasoning sections
Research concentration applicants:
statement of purpose indicating research interests and career aspirations
two letters of recommendation from persons best able to assess your ability to succeed in graduate school
official TOEFL iBT scores required with a 78 overall
official IELTS (academic) scores required with a 6.5 overall and

Their broad practical experiences and diverse academic backgrounds contribute to a curriculum that provides students the skills needed for criminal justice program planning, implementation, and evaluation.<br><br>Careers in criminal justice have an important role in communities and human services.<br><br>The M.S.C.J. research concentration is offered as a two-year model that is designed to create effective researchers and evaluators, whether working criminal justice professionals, crime analysts, or future doctoral students. Students will complete course work on quantitative and qualitative research data collection and analysis, culminating in a thesis totaling six credit hours. The course work will be geared specifically toward the research and evaluation tools, techniques, and information that will assist students in having the ability to analyze and address pressing and relevant criminal justice issues.
