Applicants who received their first law degree (JD) in the U.S. must submit an official LSAT score. International students who received their first law degree outside the U.S. are not required to take the LSAT exam.

The minimum TOEFL score requirement is 250 for the computer based exam, 600 for the paper test, or 100 for the internet based exam.Applicants taking the IELTS exam must score 6.5 or higher. Two letters of recommendation are required. At least one letter should be from an academic source. You must submit transcripts for all collegiate, graduate and professional study. Applicants are required to submit an updated resume with their application.

Suffolk Law's Trial Advocacy program was ranked 20th in the nation by U.S. News & World Report's 2021 Best Law Schools, the fifth year in a row that it has been ranked in the top 20. In the Trial and Appellate Advocacy Concentration, youll learn from experts with years of experience as judges and litigators. A solid foundation prepares you for a career as a trial attorney in the public or private sector. The concentration offers: A comprehensive curriculum in civil and criminal procedure, evidence, advocacy skills, alternative dispute resolution, and legal research and writing Ten nationally ranked practice clinics in which students can represent clients in court, plus additional transactional clinics Externships with law firms, judges, government and non-government agencies coupled with a seminar on reflective lawyering Participation in small Trial Advocacy classes synchronized with the Evidence course Champion Moot Court and National Trial teams Suffolk Journal of Trial and Appellate Advocacy The requirements for the Concentration are rigorous, and those students who take the challenge will be among the best-trained law school graduates in the courtroom.
