The standards for admission to the program and the advanced certificates are as follows:

Official transcripts as proof of a baccalaureate degree from an accredited institution of higher education
Two letters of recommendation
A current resume
A two-to-three-page typewritten statement of purpose
A completed application submitted to the Office of Admissions
Note: Full matriculation admission requires an official transcript showing an undergraduate grade point average of at least 3.0 on a scale of 4.0. Limited matriculation may be available to applicants who do not meet full matriculation requirements. Candidates with grade point averages of 2.5 or less must contact the M.P.A. program director before submitting an application. Such limited matriculation may require additional evidence of competence. Limited matriculation students may register for a maximum of six credits per semester for the first 12 credits. Limited matriculation becomes full matriculation upon completion of 12 graduate credits with a 3.0 average or better. Transfer students are welcome, transfer credits will be evaluated by the program director.
Transcripts from all colleges and universities attended and proof of degree of anticipated degree.
All transcripts must be submitted in English or translated into English by a professional translation company. Applicants with a bachelor's degree that is less than three years in duration may be required to submit a NACES evaluation.
Proof of English language proficiency testing (we accept IELTS, TOEFL, PTE and Duolingo)
Applicants may be eligible for an English language proficiency testing waiver based on citizenship and/or prior education where English is the first language.

Accredited by the National Association of Schools of Public Affairs and Administration (NASPAA), the 42-credit Master of Public Administration prepares early- and mid-career students for professional, management and leadership careers in government, healthcare, and the non-profit sectors.<br><br>The program of study is flexible and can be tailored to accommodate a student's professional goals by offering specialization courses that allow him or her to examine a specific management function or an area of application in greater depth, including public administration, non-profit management, urban government management, human resources management, law and management, international public management and social policy management. Other specializations can be developed in consultation with a faculty advisor.<br><br>Instructed by dedicated faculty, the curricula stress leadership, problem-solving skills, ethical concerns, legal regulations, and cutting-edge information technology and computer-based management systems. Students will also gain hands-on experience through two integrative capstone courses, which synthesize all the student has learned over the duration of the program.
