Theology is rooted in human reflection and investigation oriented towards the mystery of God who, in goodness and wisdom, is revealed in the prophets and in Jesus Christ. Students majoring in theology will critically engage the Catholic Intellectual Tradition that is animated by the relationship between faith and reason and includes the interpretation of the Bible, the articulation of Christian faith, liturgy and worship, Christian morality, and the pastoral mission of the people of God in the modern world. Through theological reflection and investigation, students majoring in theology will seek to uncover truth about God and the human family and appreciate religious diversity in the world. Theology students find internship opportunities in: educational institutions, church ministry and religious and non-profit organizations.
