课程简介
对环境问题的研究正变得越来越多学科
The study of environmental issues is becoming increasingly multidisciplinary, taking into consideration socio-economic, cultural and political actions and consequences in addition to scientific analysis. Our Environmental Studies program will provide you with the background to understand and evaluate environmental issues and solutions from a multitude of perspectives. You will gain the business skills, scientific expertise and practical experience needed to solve modern environmental and sustainability challenges. As human interference with the environment continues to grow, and the level of interest and investigation increases, it has become abundantly clear that environmental issues are essentially multidisciplinary in nature. In addition to the scientific elements involved, environmental issues include socio-economic, cultural and political factors. All of these have to be considered if the causes of our environmental problems are to be understood and realistic solutions are to be found. To this end, the Division of Environmental Studies presents a number of interdisciplinary programs which include a common core of environmental studies courses plus courses required for an Honours degree in a cognate discipline. In keeping with the multidisciplinary approach, all programs have both a science and a social sciences/humanities component.
