课程简介

The Department of Economics at Eastern Michigan University has about 50 to 75 graduate students who come from a variety of countries and regions of the world: China, Egypt, Indonesia, Japan, Malaysia, the Middle East, Taiwan, Thailand, and the U.S. Class sizes are relatively small (15 to 20 students). Given the diversity of our students and faculty, students are exposed to a great variety of economic conditions, problems, and government policies.This program provides a basic understanding of the theoretical foundations and tools of economic analysis, enabling students to gain competence in economic theory and its uses. The program exposes students to a variety of areas of economic study through course work, independent study, and research. In addition, this program prepares students for technical careers (e.g. research and/or consulting for government and private business) in the fields of international economics and economic development.
