To meet the General Admission Requirements to Lakehead, you will need the following:
Successful graduation from an academic secondary school program or equivalent (For most countries, the same academic preparation as is required for university entrance in that country is required for consideration. Refer to Admission Requirements by Country.)
Program-Specific Prerequisite courses completed at the senior level (e.g. Grade 12),
Equivalent of a minimum 70% overall final average (Canadian)
International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme applicants who achieve their diploma with a total score of at least 24 may be eligible for admission.
IELTS - 6.5 (no individual score less than 6.0)
TOEFL iBT - 80 (no component score less than 19)
TOEFL PBT - 550 (no component score less than 50) [when Speaking is present]

Anthropology is the integrated biological and socio-cultural investigation of humankind, from the time of our pre-human ancestors to the present, and from small to large complex societies. Lakehead University offers a broad undergraduate program covering biological, archaeological, and socio-cultural anthropology, as well as more specialized concentrations on archaeological science, medical anthropology, and applied anthropology. The Department of Anthropology faculty members have regional and international research interests, including the Boreal Forest area, North America, Latin America, Africa, and Europe. The Department of Anthropology offers programs leading to three year BA and BSc, four year BA and BSc, and four year HBA and HBSc degrees. Anthropology programs are also offered concurrently with a BEd from the Department of Undergraduate Studies in Education in the Faculty of Education and an Anthropology Major is available in the HBASc and HBASc/BEd offered at the Orillia Campus. Anthropology majors are advised to seek academic counselling from the first year of their programs onward, and students entering or proceeding in Honours programs must seek counselling for program planning.<br><br>###COVID Alert Message from University – This course is offered online and will continue on campus later.
