Applicants must have a GPA of 2.5 or higher on a U.S. 4.0 scale to be considered for admission
Transcripts from U.S. high schools or American schools outside the U.S. must be official, listing both courses and grades.
Transcripts from schools outside the U.S. must be original or certified true copies, with original signatures on all transcripts and English translations. A certified true copy is one that bears an original signature of the registrar or other designated school official, an original impression of the institution's seal, or signature/seal of the examining board.
Foreign transcripts may be sent directly from a certified translation service or from secondary school. Any transcripts delivered by the applicant will not be considered official unless they are sealed. Records should list subjects studied each year and the mark or grade or proficiency earned in each.
If you completed secondary school in a country where a secondary school leaving examination (GCE, GCSE, CXC, French Baccalaureate, Abitur, etc.) is administered, you must provide an original or certified true copy of the results or expected results.
TOEFL Essential - minimum score of 8 on the Internet-based exam
TOEFL iBT - minimum score of 71 on the Internet-based exam
minimum score of 6.0 on the academic module. Scores older than two (2) years will not be accepted.
Duolingo English Test (DET) - minimum score of 95
Pearson PTE - minimum score 54
iTEP Academic - minimum score of 3.7 on iTEP Academic Plus
Critical Reading sub-section score of 490 or higher (first-year students only). *Scores must be sent directly from the testing agency.
Reading sub-section score of 20 or higher (first-year students only). Scores must be sent directly from the testing agency.

The Mission of the Recreation, Sport Leadership and Tourism Management baccalaureate program is to provide students with a comprehensive educational and practical experience thereby producing exemplary, competent and ethical professionals qualified to work and lead in the leisure industry and make positive contributions in their community. Graduates from this program serve as qualified professionals providing leisure opportunities and experiences for individuals from all walks of life to enhance their overall health, well-being and quality of life. The program faculty are highly qualified, experienced and committed to student success. The program curriculum meets the highest standards of academic rigor, professionalism and ethical conduct. Students enrolled in the program participate in faculty research, international and domestic travel opportunities and experiential, applied and service learning experiences. The program's core values are honesty, ethical behavior, innovation, creativity, responsibility and engagement. The program's public and non-profit concentration prepares students to work for municipal, county, state and federal parks and recreation agencies, YMCAs, YWCAs and other public and non-profit organizations. The program's recreational sports leadership concentration prepares students to work in university campus recreation and intramurals, YMCA athletic programming, sport athletic associations and other athletic and fitness related organizations. The program's tourism, hospitality and events concentration prepares students to work for travel agencies, cruise ships, convention and visitor centers, theme parks, event planning agencies, resorts and other tourism, hospitality and event planning organizations.
