Successful completion of a BC secondary program (Grade 12) or the equivalent,
Be at least 19 years of age by the first day of the first semester of attendance, or
Successful completion of an ABE (Adult Basic Education) or GED (General Educational Development) program.
Official transcripts/marksheets/academic records that show all the subjects taken and grades obtained for the last two years of secondary school studies. If the date of graduation is not shown on the transcript, proof of graduation such as a graduation certificate or a graduation statement issued by the appropriate educational authorities must be submitted to Registrar and Enrolment Services. Proof of English language proficiency Official test scores or transcripts must be sent directly to Registrar and Enrolment Services from the testing authority or school.
There are two access routes for admission to the third year of the Bachelor of Recreation Management. Students admitted to the third year of the program will have completed at least 60 credits of post-secondary studies in one of the following routes:
Graduation from the Diploma in Recreation Leadership at Langara College, or
The successful completion of at least 60 credits of post-secondary coursework for which Langara awards transfer credit, combined with relevant recreation experience.
IELTS Academic - 6.5.TOEFL (IBT) - Overall: 80 Writing: 20 Reading: 20 Listening: 18 Speaking: 18.

From health wellness to advocacy, recreation professionals provide leadership by creating positive environments for people of all ages to explore their potential, connect to community, increase health and wellness, celebrate cultural traditions, and live meaningful happy lives.<br><br>Career Opportunities<br>Recreation Studies Faculty Member, Joanne Edey-Nicoll recently completed a research project on careers in recreation. This project, done in collaboration with the British Columbia Parks and Recreation Association, gives an overview of the career opportunities and earning potentials for recreation professionals.<br><br>The market for trained recreation professionals is expanding. Changes in patterns of leisure time and growth in organized and spontaneous recreational activities have increased demands on recreational facilities and resources. <br><br>These trends have created attractive and flexible employment, competitive remuneration, comprehensive benefits, significant vacation allowances and opportunities for self-development and advancement.
