Earned bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited institution by the time of enrollment (June of each year).
Complete all prerequisite coursework by enrollment.
Submit a completed application via ATCAS (applications open from July - March).
Participate in an interview, if invited.
Submit an undergraduate application to the University of Indianapolis, indicating your intended undergraduate major (any) with MS in Athletic Training Concentration.
The admissions committee will review the application and inform the student of their eligibility status by letter. If eligible, the student signs and returns the enclosed letter of intent to UIndy Undergraduate Admissions.
Students that are identified as Early Assurance can take advantage of the Priority Admit option to avoid AT CAS fees and have an admission decision prior to the start of their senior year.
A cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher is preferred.
NOTE: The Master of Science in Athletic Training program utilizes a holistic approach to applicant review. We consider ALL aspects of the application, not just academic history.
Completion of prerequisite courses with at least a C or better in each course. Courses taken on a pass/fail basis or any non-course credit will not count, such as Advance Placement (AP) credits.

Human Physiology
Chemistry (1 semester)
Physics (1 semester)
Biology (1 semester, some Human Physiology courses may count towards this requirement)
Exercise Physiology with Lab
Nutrition
Biomechanics or Kinesiology
Psychology
Statistics
Completion of baccalaureate degree at an accredited college or university by the time of matriculation into the MSAT program, unless one of the following regarding UIndy undergrads apply (Pre-AT)
Evidence that the applicant is a UIndy undergraduate student who has or will complete the core requirements of their UG degree prior to matriculation.
UIndy students earning early assurance to the MSAT program must meet specific thresholds during their undergraduate education.
English as a foreign language
Applicants for whom English is their 2nd language must score a 100 on the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) Internet Based Test

Our Master of Science in Athletic Training provides you with skills and experience to prevent, evaluate, and diagnose injury in a variety of patients including athletes, tactical athletes, industrial workers and beyond. This comprehensive program integrates didactic and clinical experiences to prepare you to practice as an athletic trainer. From taping and bracing to injury recognition, evaluation, diagnosis, rehabilitation, and emergency care, UIndy provides students with the knowledge, skills and confidence to be successful clinicians.<br>In the Master of Science in Athletic Training (MSAT) program at UIndy, you'll learn advanced, hands-on clinical skills at a rapid rate and integrate those skills in multiple clinical placements.<br>Athletic trainers work with physicians to provide prevention, clinical diagnosis, emergency treatment, therapeutic care and rehabilitation of injuries and illnesses. They also prescribe exercise programs or make diet recommendations for better performance and nutrition.
