All businesses depend on the bottom line. Accountants and Payroll administrators are major players in financial departments. They maintain accounting records and prepare essential financial statements. You'll learn how to process payroll information and determine pay and benefit entitlements for employees. Our program also offers complementary administrative training, such as office software skills, customer service, project management, and problem solving. Accountants are needed in every field, you'll find work that aligns your life passions and interest in numbers.Graduates of the Accounting and Payroll Administration program are encouraged to continue their education in the Business Administration: Accounting Diploma Program which transfers to the Bachelor of Applied Management in Accountancy at UNB Saint John. With experience, the graduate may become a Certified Bookkeeper through the Canadian Institute of Bookkeeping.<br><br>Graduates from the program could work in the following areas: basic tax returns, as payroll, accounts receivable, accounts payable or general accounting clerks in larger organizations, or as bookkeepers with smaller businesses.
