国际学生入学条件
To be considered for admission, applicants typically have an A average in a discipline which is related to their field of interest and will meet the following criteria:
Official transcripts from all universities attended.
A B+ (77%) average grade for the last 2 years of study.
Applicants must submit a GMAT or GRE score. No exceptions will be considered.
If English is not your first language, one of two English tests.
A IELTS minimum overall score of 7.5. TOEFL minimum overall score of 100 or higher
Any applicant whose first language is not English, but who, within the 12 month period prior to the month of application, has studied for at least one complete year at a post-secondary institution where English is the official language of instruction may apply for a waiver.
Upload a copy of your official transcripts to your online application for all academic institutions attended. All applicants accepted into the program will be required to send hard copy official transcripts and degree certificates in the University sealed envelope.
After submitting your application, you will be contacted by your Smith PhD Program Assistant to email a copy of your GRE or GMAT test. All accepted applicants will be required to release the official test to our department.
Provide your Statement of Purpose with your online application or email it to your Graduate Assistant. This statement should include your career goals, research interests, and your related academic field of interest background.

The PhD in Management program is designed to develop highly skilled and ethical researchers who discover and transmit new knowledge that contributes meaningfully to the academic community, the broader business community, and society. As a PhD student, you will foster the critical thinking skills necessary to serve as a respected researcher, teacher, colleague and mentor, respectful of the diversity of methodologies, philosophies and perspectives through which contributions to knowledge can be made. There are three stages to the PhD program structure, each designed to help you learn the skills necessary to develop a successful academic career. The PhD in Finance at Smith is designed for individuals poised to become excellent academic researchers. It offers rigorous coursework combined with a collaborative research environment designed to allow students to produce world-class research. Our recent graduates were all placed at research universities. Students receive training from renowned Smith School Finance faculty as well as from Queen's Economics Department. The first two years of the program are devoted to demanding coursework that will prepare students for empirical and theoretical research in finance. Faculty engagement with students right from the start of the program allows students to develop their research ideas and skills early in the process.
