Supply chain management connects you directly with the resources that keep businesses moving. Customer demands drive much of the world economy, and businesses that can best meet these needs in the most cost- and time-effective manner enjoy the most success. Developing systems and strategies for connecting people with goods, services, and other resources quickly is the core of the supply chain management concentration.<br>The College of Business prepares students with the knowledge and skills needed to become effective leaders and decision makers in today's dynamic business environment. The four-year curriculum leads to a Bachelor of Science degree with a major in Business Administration. The program focuses on global orientation, technology, ethics, business processes, sustainability, and corporate social responsibility. Lower-division work provides a cultural and analytical foundation. Upper-division work provides specialized work in business disciplines to prepare students to enter their chosen fields in the business world. At the same time, the program develops the attitudes and analytical abilities required for future professional advancement. The College of Business has a strong reputation among regional, national, and international employers. As a whole, graduates from the College of Business are well-prepared to enter challenging positions. The program centers on an approach which emphasizes: knowledge of concepts, processes, and institutions, understanding of the financial, economic, legal, ethical, social, and organizational influences, information systems, and interpersonal communications. The senior capstone course offers an opportunity for students to apply these skills in an active and engaging learning environment. All undergraduate business majors must complete the All-University Core Curriculum (AUCC) as part of their graduation requirement. Coordinated with this general education, all business students take business core subjects plus a concentration with its specified course sequence. Fifty percent of the total credits required for the business core and concentration must be completed at CSU.<br><br>The College of Business supply chain management concentration helps undergraduate students develop knowledge of global supply chain management (SCM) along with the skills to implement strategic, efficient, and effective SCM practices in contemporary business enterprises. This concentration allows you to merge your academic focus with your career goals while working to earn a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration. You will focus on process improvement, strategic sourcing and procurement management, logistics and distribution, and operations management. This concentration has a strong corporate sponsorship that provides excellent course projects, internships, and job placement opportunities.
