A recognized master's degree in a management field with a first class (A- / 80%) average,
2 references, with an option for a third reference. Our preference is for academic references, but professional ones may be substituted if appropriate,
Acceptable GMAT or GRE Score (Minimum Scores - GMAT: 600, or GRE: 60th percentile)
COVID-19 consideration: We recognize that in-person testing may not be accessible due to COVID-19 protections. Both the GMAT and GRE tests are available in an online at-home format, which will be accepted on par with the in-person version. We encourage applicants to choose the format best suited to them.
All applicants are required to submit GRE (Graduate Records Exam) or GMAT (Graduate Management Admission Test) results. Admission normally requires a minimum GMAT score of 600 or GRE scores in the 60th percentile or higher in each of verbal reasoning, quantitative reasoning and analytical writing. In exceptional circumstances when GRE/GMAT scores cannot be provided, applicants are advised to contact the Graduate Program Coordinator to inquire about potential alternative criteria.

Two (2) Referee Assessment Forms from individuals familiar with your academic work. Reference forms are completed online by the referee directly, you do not need to upload a reference letter.
Statement of Research. This is a 1-2 page document outlining your research interests and discussing how this program is a good fit. When writing the statement of research, applicants are encouraged to investigate faculty research interests and publications to find whether there is alignment. Admissions priority will be given to applicants who demonstrate strong synergies with faculty in their statement of research.
A current copy of your CV or resume.
An applicant seeking admission outside of one of the three fields must clearly explain in their statement of intent why their intended area of study and research does not fit within any of the three program fields and must indicate the faculty member(s) with whom they intend to study. Admission outside of one of the three fields requires that at least two eligible members of graduate faculty from the same academic unit are willing to support the student's studies and research. International English Language Testing System (Academic) (IELTS) 6.5 , Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) and (TOEFL Special Home Edition (iBT)) 89 A minimum score of 21 must be achieved in each of the four categories (listening, speaking, reading, writing)

The Services Management (SM) field of the PhD program gives students a balanced foundation in management theory to allow them to pursue research in the inter-connected services areas of hospitality, tourism, or food management. Our SM students investigate socially and economically relevant issues from the perspective of governmental or non-governmental organizations, consumers, and service providers. Timeline: After completing coursework and a qualifying exam, students devote the remainder of their time in the program to the completion and defence of a doctoral dissertation.
