The modular approach to studying business at the Magee campus provides students with extensive choice and flexibility. Business Studies may be taken as a single honours or in conjunction with a specialist subject from a range of business areas, students may choose from Accounting, Enterprise or Marketing. The flexible structure of this programme affords students the opportunity of choosing a pathway to suit their own personal interests and career aspirations. The programme equips graduates for a management career in a variety of private or public sector industries. It also provides the entrepreneurial and innovation skills necessary for the creation of new business ventures, and to stimulate the competitive impetus for managing and developing existing businesses. The specialism subjects allow students to specialise in a particular area of business interest which provides an ideal foundation for career development as a business professional. In addition, the programme supports and enables students to develop their employability skills throughout their undergraduate degree to ensure that graduates are prepared and skilled for the future labour market.<br><br>The BSc Hons Business Studies programme meets the needs of those wishing to pursue a career in business and allows those with an interest in accounting, management or marketing to choose these subjects as specialist areas. The programme also allows students to follow a general business studies path or take a specialism from one of the three pathways namely Accounting, Enterprise or Marketing. This enables students to develop the skills and expertise necessary for an aspiring professional career in accounting, management, entrepreneurship or marketing.
