Event management professionals are widely seen as important to the development and success of Irish business and the tourism industry. This stream will provide graduates with a blend of knowledge and skills to equip them for employment in positions in marketing and/or event management, or will alternatively enable them to proceed to postgraduate study. The central focus of the programme is on specialist marketing and event management subjects. The programme also features a number of relevant business subjects, which extend the field of study to the broader business environment within which the event management and marketing functions are positioned.<br><br>Career Opportunities<br>Graduates from this stream will have strong business knowledge and competence in an event management context and will be highly employable. They can expect to have a wide range of opportunities and should easily find suitable employment in the broad field of event management across a range of both public and private sector organisations such as central government departments, international hotel groups, incentive travel organisations and professional conference organisers.
