To apply for an undergraduate (or your first) university degree at USQ, you must have a recognised previous academic qualification. These qualifications are for standard entry and are based on comparisons with Australian year 12 level examinations.

This program requires a minimum of IELTS 6.0 or equivalent. TOEFL (paper based) - 550 (or better) (with a minimum Test of Written English Score of TWE 4.5). TOEFL (internet based) - 80 (or better) (with 19 minimum in all bands).

To study this degree we assume you have sound knowledge in:
English
We assume that your knowledge is equivalent to four semesters at high school level (Years 11 and 12) with sound achievement (4, SA).

Non-standard applications (i.e. non-OP applicants) will also be considered with an audition or interview on a case-by-case basis.
Applicants must present:
a portfolio of film work, broadcast visual or sound work or digital animation or design work according to their study interest
a short 500 word statement outlining their experience within these media and/or an explanatory statement that describes their portfolio.
It is a requirement that Queensland-based students hold a current positive notice indicating that they are deemed suitable for working with children and young people whilst studying the Bachelor of Creative Arts – Film Television & Radio, Theatre, Music and Visual Arts.
