The standard minimum entry requirements for this course are one or a combination of the following qualifications:
Pass at Foundation Diploma in Art and Design (Level 3 or 4)
2 A Levels at grade C or above
Merit, Pass, Pass (MPP) at BTEC Extended Diploma
Pass at UAL Extended Diploma
Access to Higher Education Diploma
Or equivalent EU/International qualifications, such as International Baccalaureate Diploma at 24 points minimum
And 3 GCSE passes at grade 4 or above (grade A*-C)
Entry to this course will also be determined by the quality of your application, looking primarily at your portfolio of work, personal statement and reference.
APEL - Accreditation of Prior (Experiential) Learning
Applicants who do not meet these course entry requirements may still be considered in exceptional cases. The course team will consider each application that demonstrates additional strengths and alternative evidence. This might, for example, be demonstrated by:
Related academic or work experience
The quality of the personal statement
A strong academic or other professional reference
A combination of these factors
Each application will be considered on its own merit but we cannot guarantee an offer in each case.

BA Fine Art: Sculpture at Camberwell College of Arts explores the interplay between materials, social practices, intercultural and international contexts.<br>BA Fine Art: Sculpture values the importance of ‘thinking through making', using practical experimentation and different critical approaches. The intention is that you will develop an understanding of the inter-relationship between humans and objects. You will reflect upon people's interactions with the material world through a postcolonial lens. <br><br>What to expect<br>To interrogate sculpture's status in the contemporary fine art world and its continually evolving position due to social and political factors.<br>To investigate traditional and digital material practices associated with sculpture.<br>All forms of contemporary sculptural methods and approaches to be encouraged .<br>To study the practice of fine art, its history, culture and contemporary position.<br>To make work and develop an ethical practice.<br>To express and explore your artistic, social and personal interests informed by focussed research.<br>To discuss your work through tutorials, seminars, group and cross-course crits.<br>Methods and materials workshops and demonstrations by artists and technicians.<br>Opportunities to gain knowledge and experience of collaborative working and socially engaged art practice.<br>A lecture programme that gives you a deeper understanding of contemporary fine art practice. It will widen your critical, theoretical, historical knowledge. This is for all Camberwell undergraduate students studying Drawing, Painting, Photography, Sculpture and Computational Arts. <br>To choose between a final year dissertation, performance, practical work placement or live project.<br>To take part in external projects with students from across Camberwell's BA Fine Art programme. <br>Course specific lectures, seminars and field trips. <br>To have access to printmaking, photography, film, moving image, digital, plastic, ceramics, wood and metalwork.
