96-112 tariff points from any combination of recognised Level 3 qualifications or equivalent, including mathematics.
The most common acceptable Level 3 qualifications are:
A level (grades BBC, including C in mathematics)
BTEC Extended Diploma (DMM, including merit or distinction in mathematics units)
Access to HE Diploma (with merit or distinction in at least 12 level 3 credits in mathematics).

International students who need a student visa to study in the UK should check our web pages on UKVI-compliant English language requirements. The University also provides pre-sessional English language courses if you do not meet the minimum English language requirement.
For entry onto an undergraduate degree programme, you would normally need a pass in at least two A levels, or equivalent level 3 qualifications as a minimum. The new level 3 T levels, offered from September 2020, will be considered for entry onto our courses. There may be some course-specific requirements. You may also need GCSE passes at grade 4 (or C) or above, or other level 2 qualifications. These may be required in specific subjects, depending on your university course. including any additional course requirements such as an interview, portfolio or audition. Other level 2 qualifications may be accepted as alternatives. Some courses ask for additional entry requirements because of the requirements of the associated profession.

Mathematics provides an essential basis for understanding modern finance. This course combines a grounding in maths concepts and methods with an opportunity to develop skills that can be applied to the analysis and modelling of financial markets. As a mathematics with economics graduate, a range of career options are available to you - from banking and insurance, to teaching and local government. This course includes an optional work placement year, at no extra cost. The essentials of finance and underlying economic theory are studied alongside mathematics. Throughout the course emphasis is placed on problem solving and real-world applications. A wide variety of career options are available to mathematics with economics graduates in the financial services sector, including working as an actuary, in accountancy, banking, insurance, investment management and management consultancy. In the public sector specialists in maths and finance are employed in the civil service, local government and other organisations such as the NHS. The course also provides a sound basis for finance, economics, econometrics, logistics, mathematics, statistics and many other areas.<br><br>Length: 3 years (or 4 with a work placement)
