You must have received a bachelor's degree with a fine arts major in studio courses or a B.A. in another field with substantial coursework in studio art. Graduated with a 3.0 GPA or higher in undergraduate program. Latest undergraduate and graduate transcripts are required. Unofficial copies may be provided at the time of application. Official transcript copies are required for the enrollment in the program upon acceptance. TOEFL must be taken within the last 2 years with a score of 90 or above on the Internet-based test (iBT) or IELTS of 7.5 or above.

Painting at the Eskenazi School of Art, Architecture Design is a place and space for makers-for painters who expect to innovate, challenge and be challenged, dig deep, and get their hands dirty. Our courses cover a range of painting practices from observational and narrative art to abstract and material investigations. By facilitating the development of painting as a means of individual expression, reflection, and communication, we encourage our students to cultivate their own points of view. The diverse techniques explored within the program allow students to research traditional skills alongside dynamic new approaches in the field.
