Prospective first-year students must:
Have a 3.00 recalculated grade point average (GPA) (a B or better where A= 4.00) from a secondary school.
Please note: GPA recalculation occurs during the admissions evaluation process.
Have three years of high school work.
Please note: If you are currently in high school, the University of Arizona needs to see 9–11 grade work. If you have completed high school then Arizona needs to see 10–12 grade work.
Have and present a completed high school diploma or certificate.
Official college/university transcripts from each international institution you have attended will be required at the time of enrollment.
If you have attended any college or university outside of the United States during or post-high school, unofficial transcripts from each institution you have attended are sufficient for initial evaluation.
Unofficial transcripts are sufficient for initial evaluation. At any time, you may be contacted to submit official/verified transcripts.
Official transcripts showing grades for all years of secondary/high school and official exam results or certificates from your country will be required before you enroll at the University of Arizona.

Students learn content similar to what they will encounter in their first year as undergraduate students and thereby improve their language abilities. They also enroll in a CESL-supported general education course for credit, this course will count toward any major at University of Arizona.
With CESL's English Language Endorsement, students in the U-Track Pathway can fulfill UA's minimum English language proficiency requirement without taking an additional TOEFL or IELTS exam.

Push the boundaries of art what it is, how it's made, what it communicates with a program of study that spans mediums. The 3D and Extended Media emphasis in the Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Studio Art is grounded in an interdisciplinary understanding of traditional and experimental practice. This includes sculpture, ceramics, performance, installation and new-generation digital art practices. The program enhances students' artistic development with coursework that promotes conceptual investigation and an understanding of contemporary issues through the exploration of diverse media. Students achieve expertise through technical processes and learn from faculty members who offer in-depth expertise gained from a long history of practice in, and engagement with, art at national and international levels. Students develop professionalism in technical skills, conceptual formulation and critical thinking.<br>LEARNING OUTCOMES<br>Context, Students will demonstrate an in-depth comprehension of art history, contemporary practice, and theory¿understanding how they inform and influence their artistic practice.<br>Concept, Students will develop a portfolio that demonstrates the ability to utilize critical inquiry and research to develop meaningful and innovative content in their work.<br>Process, Students will develop a portfolio that demonstrates facility with, and command of their chosen tools and materials as well as the formal properties that underlie their use. They will also demonstrate an understanding of how concept informs choices with respect to tools and materials.<br>Integration, Students will demonstrate the emergence of a personal voice and visual style/approach in their work.<br>Professional Practice, Students will demonstrate knowledge of the steps and elements required to embark on the pursuit of a successful career (in and/or out of the arts) after graduation.
