When you study Graphic Design at Madonna University, you receive individualized attention and specialized instruction from industry professionals. Not only will you learn how to become a working graphic designer, you will begin practicing with real world projects in the classroom. Create and grow your portfolio as you enhance the studio experience by taking advantage of internships and possible freelance projects. Working independently and within groups of other artists, you will gain experience with industry technologies and exposure to creative graphic design trends. You will begin with introductory courses that provide a strong foundation on which to build. The courses that follow focus on learning graphic design software, typography and developing strong concept skills enabling you to create designs for projects like logos, promotional advertising, package design, web design, environmental graphics, information graphics. Coursework culminates in the advanced graphic design class, which offers a collaborative branding experience from concept to final. We have a hearty group of Graphic Designer alumni who are working in many areas of the industry. They often give back to our program by visiting class to share information and inspiration, or by providing information about employment.
