舞蹈文学学士-当代舞蹈

当代舞蹈集中于芭蕾舞，现代，爵士舞技巧，编舞，即兴创作和教学法。每年我们都有许多正式和非正式的演出机会。给学生提供了为公立和私立学校，老年人和其他社区组织举办讲习班和表演的机会。国内外的客座编舞家和老师来到NMSU与我们的学生一起工作。
The Contemporary Dance concentration focuses on ballet, modern, jazz dance technique, choreography, improvisation, and pedagogy. We have many formal and informal performance opportunities each year. Students are offered the opportunity to give workshops and performances for public and private schools, senior citizens and other community organizations. National and International guest choreographers and teachers come to NMSU to work with our students.<br><br>Contemporary Dance is the study of ballet, modern, hip hop, jazz, and tap. Students are trained in dance technique, dance education (teaching) and dance production. This concentration prepares dancers for pursuit of an advanced degree or a professional and/or teaching career.<br><br>Students must complete a minimum of 120 credits with 48 credits in courses numbered 3000 (300) or above. The Contemporary Concentration consists of 102 credits earned through General Education, VWW, Dance Core, Dance Technique in addition to 18 credits of Electives totaling a minimum of 120 credit hours.
