Graduated from a regionally accredited high school, homeschool program or hold a GED certificate of completion, and Earned at least a 2.0 high school grade point average on a 4.0 scale, and Ranked in the top 50 percent of your high school graduating class, and Met one of these SAT or ACT score requirements: SAT prior to March 2016: 1000 (based on Critical Reading and Math combined), SAT after March 2016: 1080 (based on Evidenced Based Reading and Writing, and Math combined), ACT: 21 (or above) composite. TOEFL (iBT) test score of 79 or higher, IELTS overall band score of 6.5 or higher.

Our bachelor of arts (BA) degree in music with an EC-12 certification leads to Texas teacher certification for grades K-12, and provides you with the option of teaching instrumental or vocal music at the elementary or secondary level. Our comprehensive curriculum will prepare you for work as: An elementary music specialist. A middle or high school band, orchestra or choir director. Our courses are integrated with community outreach initiatives and service to local schools. We offer practical application of our curriculum as well as opportunities to interact with music students at events hosted by the Pioneer Music Educators Association.
