课程简介

表演音乐学士学位课程面向的是那些对表演或音乐的技能和兴趣集中在专业水平的学生。对于那些打算以大学/大学教师的职业发展但不打算在小学或中学任教的人来说，这也是一个合适的学位。但是，那些选择此选项的人必须意识到，以绩效为中心的职业的最终成功通常涉及学士学位以外的进一步学习，以及对实际成功绩效经验的积累。此外，那些在大学/大学级别寻求兼职表演者和工作室指导的双重职业的人必须准备继续攻读博士学位直至博士学位，以确保成功获得任命。
Our program offers performance opportunities via a wide array of ensembles which are open to all university students, including university orchestra, symphonic and concert bands, pep band, jazz band, university singers, Camerata Isla (chamber choir), and Corpus Christi Chorale. Music majors also participate in chamber ensembles including string quartet, various woodwind and brass ensembles, percussion ensemble, guitar ensemble, and more. An accredited member of the National Association of Schools of Music, the university offers three undergraduate music degrees to help you reach your career goals: the Bachelor of Arts in Music, the Bachelor of Music leading to Teacher Certification, and the Bachelor of Music in Performance.
