The University offers a bachelor of arts (BA) in music liberal arts. The Music Liberal Arts Program combines the best of the University's Foundational Studies Program with formal musical preparation. This degree is perfect for students who want to pursue a minor in a non-music field, such as business administration, English, history, chemistry, legal studies, psychology, communication, and others. Each student receives a solid foundation in comprehensive, integrated musicianship by participating in performance ensembles, by taking private lessons, by attending concerts, and by studying music theory, music history and literature, piano, music technology, scoring, and conducting. The School of Music's size is ideal for maximum student-to-faculty interaction while still providing wide-ranging opportunities for aspiring musicians.
