Learn about the latest theory and practice influencing the care and support of children and young people, experiencing mental health difficulties and their families and carers. You will critically evaluate approaches to compassionate mental health care and consider innovative ways of developing ethical, culturally sensitive and age appropriate practice. You will gain a thorough grounding in research skills and applied data analysis to support your role as an evidence-based practitioner, able to critically evaluate approaches to support and care for children and young people experiencing mental ill-health. You will address key principles of child and adolescent mental healthcare and emotional well-being, together with current issues affecting mental health policy and practice through core discipline-specific modules. Elective modules will allow you to build your professional knowledge and pursue your particular areas of interest.<br><br>Successful completion of this master's degree will equip you with the knowledge and skills to work effectively across professional services and agencies concerned with the mental health of children and young people.
