If you're a qualified veterinary nurse (RVN), this unique and flexible course allows you to upgrade your qualification to degree level. You'll gain graduate skills that can improve your veterinary nursing practice as well as your career prospects. We offer the longest-running veterinary nursing degree in Scotland, with excellent career prospects. The course is delivered in collaboration with the College of Animal Welfare to give you up-to-date and in-depth knowledge of all aspects of veterinary nursing. Our course is accredited by the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons, allowing you to register as a vet nurse as soon as you graduate and begin working straight away. In fact, 100% of our graduates from 2017 were in work/study within six months of graduation. A main focus of the course is to build our students' professional experience to prepare them for the workplace: this is why our students will spend up to 60 weeks on placement in some of the most prestigious veterinary establishments throughout the United Kingdom. With the clinical skills gained from professional experience, as well as theoretical skills learned throughout the degree programme, our students have an excellent grounding in all skills required for registration as a Vet Nurse.
