This program enables students to research, analyze and address factors that influence health and health outcomes at the individual level and beyond. Collaborating with faculty and area professionals, students seek solutions to critical issues such as health equity. Core coursework focuses on public, social, and behavioral health, students can also choose electives that fit their professional interests. Graduates will be highly knowledgeable in the creation, management, and assessment of public health interventions (as well as related financial and political issues). Alumni have secured careers at the CDC, state health departments, and both private and non-profit organizations.
