Langara's Advanced Entry to the Bachelor of Science of Nursing (BSN) is open to Canadian citizens and permanent residents who are Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) in the province of BC. This program provides successful candidates with the opportunity to complete Pathophysiology 2192 and then enter into term 3 of the Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN). This means that the length of study from the time students enter the Advanced Entry to the time they graduate from the BSN is two years and eight months (eight consecutive semesters) with the first semester including the one Pathophysiology course and the remaining seven semesters at full-time. In addition to the term 2 Pathophysiology course, students will participate in a mandatory orientation course to the BSN. This course is non-credit and carries no tuition or fees except the cost of textbooks and NCLEX resources.

The Advanced Entry BSN has two intakes of students per year (Spring [January] and Summer [May]) and subsequent semesters will be completed sequentially. Therefore, there is no time off during the program. However, there are college breaks of approximately two weeks duration between semesters.
