Prospective first-year students must:
Have a 3.00 recalculated grade point average (GPA) (a B or better where A= 4.00) from a secondary school.
Please note: GPA recalculation occurs during the admissions evaluation process.
Have three years of high school work.
Please note: If you are currently in high school, the University of Arizona needs to see 9–11 grade work. If you have completed high school then Arizona needs to see 10–12 grade work.
Have and present a completed high school diploma or certificate.
Official college/university transcripts from each international institution you have attended will be required at the time of enrollment.
If you have attended any college or university outside of the United States during or post-high school, unofficial transcripts from each institution you have attended are sufficient for initial evaluation.
Unofficial transcripts are sufficient for initial evaluation. At any time, you may be contacted to submit official/verified transcripts.
Official transcripts showing grades for all years of secondary/high school and official exam results or certificates from your country will be required before you enroll at the University of Arizona.

Students learn content similar to what they will encounter in their first year as undergraduate students and thereby improve their language abilities. They also enroll in a CESL-supported general education course for credit, this course will count toward any major at University of Arizona.
With CESL's English Language Endorsement, students in the U-Track Pathway can fulfill UA's minimum English language proficiency requirement without taking an additional TOEFL or IELTS exam.

Learn how disease affects human biology and how to design, develop and formulate drugs that prevent or treat diseases. Pharmaceutical sciences are the foundation of new drug design, development and delivery. Students in the Bachelor of Science in Pharmaceutical Sciences program learn to apply the scientific method to address gaps in knowledge while also learning about governmental regulations of the drug development process, chemical-biological interactions of current drugs, the discovery of new drugs, and the techniques and tools in use by the pharmaceutical sciences industry. From discovering new therapies to testing and manufacturing new medications, this degree acts as a powerful springboard to careers in pharmacy, medicine, biotechnology, drug development and regulatory affairs.<br>LEARNING OUTCOMES<br>Students will be able to understand chemical-biological interactions as related to current drugs and the discovery and development of new drugs.<br>Students will be able to understand the governmental regulation of the drug development process, including the demanding requirement for stringently controlled research.<br>Students will be able to apply the scientific method to address gaps in knowledge, through hypothesis formulation, data collection/analysis, and rational interpretation.<br>Students will be able to understand the techniques, and modern tools in use by the pharmaceutical science industry.<br>Students will be able to communicate effectively in written and oral presentation.
