The Bachelor of Science in Biological Sciences: Health Science Concentration degree is intended for students who are interested in applying to a health science related professional program. Students can choose the Health Science Concentration and the Pre-Professional program of their choice. Students pursuing a Health Science Concentration can follow tracks (suggested course work) that will give them an advantage when applying to pre-professional programs such as Pre-dentistry, Pre-occupational Therapy, Pre-medicine, Pre-physician's Assistant, Pre-optometry, and Pre-chiropractic. We also offer a non- degree Pre-pharmacy track to prepare students to apply to College of Pharmacy Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm. D.) programs. Course listings for these tracks can be found on the Biology webpage. Students interested in Health studies can also pursue the B. S. in Health Studies degree in the department which offers tracks for administrative and support careers in the health care industry. Some pre-professional programs such as pre-occupational therapy, and pre-physical therapy can be pursued through either the Health Science concentration or through the B. S. in Health Studies.
