Admission to the M.Sc. in Medical Sciences program is dependent on the recommendation of the Medical Sciences Graduate Program Committee. The requirements for this degree consist of:
Coursework. A minimum of *6 in graded graduate level courses listed in the Medical Sciences Graduate Program Approved Course Listing, or approved equivalent is required.
Completion of a research project, and
Preparation of a thesis.
Course requirements are recommended by the Supervisor and Supervisory Committee based on the background of the student and the area of specialization to be undertaken.
The M.Sc. in Medical Sciences program follows the Faculty of Graduate Studies and Research residency requirements. No language other than English is required for the degree.
The minimum length of the M.Sc. program is two years and the maximum length is four years, depending on the research undertaken.
Note that this program does not lead to specialty (fellowship) qualifications in FRCPC disciplines, including Diagnostic Radiology, Radiation Oncology, or Nuclear Medicine.
Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL iBT, in-person or special at-home edition) - Total score of 90 with a score of at least 21 on each of the individual skill areas (internet-based) or equivalent
Academic International English Language Testing System
(IELTS) Revised to: 6.5, with at least 6.0 on each test band
