国际学生入学条件
GSAS welcomes applications for admission from individuals who have or will have by the time of matriculation a BA, BS, or equivalent undergraduate degree (for prospective international students, a three- or four-year undergraduate degree from an institution of recognized standing) and actively seeks applicants from groups historically underrepresented in graduate schools.
Applicants are required to upload transcript copies from each college/university they attended into our online application system: official hard copy/paper transcripts are not required at the time of application.
Applicants who are non-native English speakers and who received their undergraduate degree from an academic institution where English is not the primary language of instruction must prove their English proficiency by earning either a minimum score of 80 on the Internet based test (iBT) of the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) or a minimum score of 6.5 on the International English Language Testing System (IELTS) Academic test.

Our program evolved from the subfield of biological anthropology (sometimes called evolutionary anthropology), but we are more than that because we address issues in human evolutionary biology by bringing together and integrating scholars and students engaged in many fields of research relevant to our core question including: Anatomy and physiology of primates and humans, including the evolution and function of the human microbiome, and physiological ecology, Primate and human behavior and ecology, including cognition, behavioral development, cultural transmission, and evolution, Molecular, developmental, and population genetics and genomics and Paleontology and the physical record of primate and hominin evolution. Further, in all of these fields, we explore relationships between human evolution and contemporary health and disease.

The PhD program in Human Evolutionary Biology takes an interdisciplinary approach that includes field and laboratory programs in many sub-disciplines including: Evolutionary approaches to psychology, decision-making and culture, Human behavioral biology and ecology, Ape behavioral ecology and biology, Human and primate paleobiology, Experimental biomechanics, Human physiology, Genetics and genomics of humans and primates, Developmental biology and Human and non-human primate neuroscience.
