The Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Biological Sciences is designed to provide a flexible degree option for students who wish to combine their interests in the biological sciences with those in other specialty areas such as the arts, the liberal arts, business, or biomedical engineering. This degree is appropriate for students on the pre-medical track, as well as multiple other career tracks. The College of Science and the College of Business Administration are partnering to offer a joint degree program for undergraduate students pursuing a BS in Biological Sciences – Biomedical Science Concentration who are also interested in pursuing a Master of Business Administration Degree. BS in Biological Sciences – Biomedical Science Concentration students are required to have a 3.3 cumulative GPA and 90 credit hours toward their major in order to apply for admission to the UTEP MBA program. Once admitted to the MBA MBA, BSMBA fast-track students will be allowed to take 12 credit hours of MBA core coursework which will count dually toward the BS elective requirements and the MBA core requirements.
