The program is designed as a fulltime course of study Students are not able to transfer into the program Prior to matriculation in the program students must complete and fulfill the following requirements
Baccalaureate degree from an accredited college or university
Cumulative prerequisite course grade point average GPA of 3.0 or better 4.0 scale
Grades below a C are not acceptable
Overall undergraduate GPA of 3.0 or better 4.0 scale
A series of prerequisite courses please see Prerequisites must be completed within ten years preceding entrance into the graduate program
All prerequisite courses must be completed by May 15 in the year of enrollment
TOEFL iBT minimum score of 80 for all applicants from non-English speaking countries
Three letters of recommendation
100 observation hours multiple PT settings recommended
Demonstration of the ethical personal and professional qualities to fulfill the role of the physical therapist as determined by review of the applicants references and the interview process
Meet essential functions of the DPT program and the Physical Therapy profession including physical emotional intellectual and communication standards

This success has presented the opportunity to develop a second community-based DPT program at our Ruskin, Florida, campus. The Ruskin DPT Program is both innovative and provides personalized, individual attention between faculty and students with a start date each summer semester. <br><br>The curriculum includes four full-time clinical education experiences for a total of 40 weeks of clinical experience. Students will also have the opportunity to travel for clinical education experiences. The curriculum includes five courses (Community Health Initiatives I-V) that provide service-learning experiences with a network of community partners.
