UCAS TARIFF POINTS
3 years fulltime 112-120 points eg Alevels CCCBBB including biology chemistry andor mathematics Alevels in general studies and critical thinking not accepted Applicants with only two full Alevels considered on an individual basis
4 years fulltime 48 points with some evidence of study in a science related subject
GCSES
3 years fulltime or 4 years parttime GCSEs or equivalent required at grade C or grade 4 or above in English mathematics and double science or two single sciences
If English is not your first language or you have not previously studied in English our usual requirement is the equivalent of an International English Language Testing System IELTS Academic Test score of 6.5 with not less than 6.0 in each of the subtests
TOEFL IBT - Standard requirement - 79 (reading - 18, writing - 23, listening - 19, speaking - 19)

Your studies on Birkbeck's BSc Biomedicine will be at the interface between molecular, cell and integrative biology and evolving disease therapies. You will discover how biomedical research plays a pivotal role in the transfer of advances in basic science into effective practices that promote human health as well as into treatments for human diseases. Learning with internationally recognised researchers, study on this biomedicine degree will provide you with an academic grounding in the science that underpins modern medicine, with the opportunity to explore biomedical research.<br><br>You will develop a sound knowledge of scientific principles across a range of disciplines, including biochemistry, cell biology, chemistry, drugs and drug discovery, genetics, immunology, microbiology, molecular biology and physiology, and will understand their applications.<br>Start Date: October 2024 Duration: Three years
