环境科学专攻的目的是为自然科学的研究以及如何解决其面临的相关问题提供科学专业的准备。学生必须完成19-20个小时的课程工作（包括研究），才能满足环境科学专业的要求。这是该学生专业所必需的课程之外的其他课程
The B.S. degree in Biology is designed to augment student learning, build a broad foundational understanding of biological sciences, create relevant competencies in scientific practices, and develop critical-thinking and problem-solving skills to address current scientific issues. The degree includes a broad curriculum with biology courses and integral supporting disciplines, that also allows flexibility for students and their advisors to construct a degree that prepares the student for a variety of fields of interest in the biological sciences. The curriculum is delivered by faculty with diverse interests, providing opportunities to participate in research in many areas including molecular, cellular, organismal and ecological fields of study.<br><br>The purpose of the Science of the Environment concentration is to prepare science majors for the study of our natural environment and how to solve the relevant problems facing it. Students are required to complete 19-20 hours of course work (research included) to fulfill the requirements for the Science in the Environment concentration.
