A letter of intent.
A summary of coursework form (students coming from institutions outside of the United States are required to list courses and grades. The U.S. is on a 4.0 scale, but other countries are on a scale of 10 or 100. Please make a note on the scale on which you received your grades).
A minimum of three letters of recommendation. The application will generate an email request for the letters after your recommenders' contact information. This is the only part of the application that you can edit once you submit the application. You'll be able to see who has sent their letter and who has not. You will be able to add recommenders throughout the process in case one of your recommenders does not respond. Please see the application tips link for tips on selecting recommenders. Your recommenders can choose to use regular mail, or send an email with the letter attached to the graduate coordinator. You can let them know this, but these instructions are also in the email that is sent via the online mechanism.
Official transcripts from all colleges and universities attended will only be required if you are admitted to the program. Please only upload unofficial transcripts into the online process.
GRE scores. The Graduate Record Examination (GRE) IS NO LONGER REQUIRED FOR ADMISSION. If you have already taken the GRE, your official scores will be automatically submitted electronically from the testing service if you have listed the University of Arizona as. a recipient of your scores. You may upload scanned copies of your results here for the purpose of evaluation but only as an added component of your application. The GRE is now OPTIONAL.

Minimum grade point average (GPA) of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale
Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) - minimum score of 79 iBT (or 60 on the revised PBT with no section score lower than 15). Individual MyBest scores must also be dated within 2 years of the enrollment term to be considered valid.
International English Language Testing System (IELTS) - minimum composite score of 7, with no subject area below a 6

A master's degree in Natural Resources provides students with research focused knowledge and experience in conservation and management of diverse natural resources such as wildland animals, plants and water. Each student works with a faculty advisor and committee to develop and implement an individual plan of study and research topic (thesis). Students will gain hands-on experience while working with distinguished faculty in state-of-the-art facilities. Our master's students also have an opportunity to complete a dual degree program in Business Administration.<br>Graduate students in the M.S. and Ph.D. programs work with a faculty advisory committee during their first semester to develop an individual plan of study including choosing a research topic, identifying appropriate coursework and transfer credit, and selecting potential thesis committee members.<br>Prior to the meeting, students must provide the committee a proposed program of study and a description of their background, general research area, and career objectives. The committee will either accept the proposal or suggest modifications to be made within two weeks. Our M.S. program require a minimum of 30 to 36 units, depending on the program, while our Ph.D. requires a minimum of 63 units. Non-thesis options are available in some programs.<br>A wildlife conservation and management emphasis within our graduate program prepares you for professional careers with state and federal fish and wildlife agencies, non-governmental conservation organizations, private consulting firms, or for research and academic roles.<br>This degree emphasis provides opportunities to explore ecological principles, field research techniques, tools for data analysis, and applications of research findings to management and conservation of all types of wildlife resources. Youll develop an individual plan of study focused on your selected area of research.
