Prospective first-year students must:
Have a 3.00 recalculated grade point average (GPA) (a B or better where A= 4.00) from a secondary school.
Please note: GPA recalculation occurs during the admissions evaluation process.
Have three years of high school work.
Please note: If you are currently in high school, the University of Arizona needs to see 9–11 grade work. If you have completed high school then Arizona needs to see 10–12 grade work.
Have and present a completed high school diploma or certificate.
Official college/university transcripts from each international institution you have attended will be required at the time of enrollment.
If you have attended any college or university outside of the United States during or post-high school, unofficial transcripts from each institution you have attended are sufficient for initial evaluation.
Unofficial transcripts are sufficient for initial evaluation. At any time, you may be contacted to submit official/verified transcripts.
Official transcripts showing grades for all years of secondary/high school and official exam results or certificates from your country will be required before you enroll at the University of Arizona.

Students learn content similar to what they will encounter in their first year as undergraduate students and thereby improve their language abilities. They also enroll in a CESL-supported general education course for credit, this course will count toward any major at University of Arizona.
With CESL's English Language Endorsement, students in the U-Track Pathway can fulfill UA's minimum English language proficiency requirement without taking an additional TOEFL or IELTS exam.

Bachelor of Science in Biosystems Engineering collaborate with the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences and several College of Engineering degree programs. They study ways to sustainably feed an ever-growing world population, harness and preserve natural resources, and overcome environmental challenges. Students are immersed in design throughout their undergraduate experience. The future depends on biosystems engineers working in fields such as agriculture, water conservation and renewable energy.<br><br>LEARNING OUTCOMES<br>An ability to apply knowledge of mathematics, science and engineering, At the time of graduation students will: 1. be proficient in mathematics to a level of differential equations 2. have an understanding of the physics concepts of mechanics, electric circuits, thermodynamics, and optics. 3. be knowledgeable in basic chemistry 4. be competent in the knowledge of and applying engineering science as required for their majors<br>An ability to design and conduct experiments, as well as to analyze and interpret data, Students will: 1. be able to design experiments to efficiently collect data to test a hypothesis or design a component using, statistical and probabilistic methods 2. be able to conduct experiments and collect information with an understanding of equipment and measurement systems. 3. be capable of drawing and presenting conclusions from experimental results through data analysis using, experience in statistical and probabilistic methods and appropriate forms of graphical presentation of data. 4. be able to design experiments to efficiently collect data to test a hypothesis or design a component using, statistical and probabilistic methods, basic sciences and engineering science background. 5. be able to conduct experiments and collect information with, an understanding of equipment and measurement systems. 6. be capable of drawing and presenting conclusions from experimental results.
