国际学生入学条件
Freshman applicants must submit official secondary school mark sheets and diploma. All documents must be originals or copies certified by the school principal or controller of examinations and sealed in a school envelope. Documents not in English must be translated by a certified translator. If your first language is not English, official English proficiency scores must be submitted directly to the International Programs Office from the testing center. To be considered for admission to ISU, international students applying as new undergraduates must meet the following academic requirements:
Have graduated from a high school or secondary school with satisfactory grades, received a diploma or certificate of graduation, and be eligible for admission to a major university in the country from which they graduated.
Have at least a 2.25 GPA.
TOEFL iBT: 61, Paper: 500, Computer: 173, IELTS- 5.5 overall score OR a minimum 5.0 in ALL subscores

ISU takes great pride in preparing those who wish to become successful in any of several welding careers that range from heavy manufacturing to orbital welding. Our welding lab is very well equipped and faculty have extensive backgrounds in the welding profession. Our approach to welding is hands-on with instruction provided over the shoulder as faculty train each student on an individual basis. The ISU Welding program has placement opportunities within the structural steel and piping industries based upon your abilities at graduation. Welding is a rewarding career choice that offers some of the highest wages in the market. Career paths for successful professionals could include leadership opportunities as well. Objectives: To prepare graduates for gainful employment in critical welding applications to include: pipeline, petro-chemical, power generation, sanitation, and high purity welding. Additionally, graduates will be prepared to begin their welding careers by completing courses in math, theory, layout, and blueprint reading to augment their welding skills.
