国际学生入学条件
You must have satisfactorily completed high school (secondary school) with at least a B average or a 3.00 grade point average (GPA) on a 4.00 scale
Copies of transcripts of all high school work, including college-level courses.
Mid-year and final grades will be required.
Proof of high school graduation.
Proof of English proficiency (TOEFL, IELTS, PTE, Duolingo English Test, or IB English scores).
Two letters of recommendation.
A 300 to 350 word essay describing your career goals in the major you applied for and how attending New York Tech would further those goals.
SAT/ACT scores are not required for international students. Please review our test-optional policy. If you do want to submit scores, NYIT SAT Code: 2561, NYIT ACT Code 2832.
If you or your agent are submitting documents by email or fax, then they are not considered official. Your application for admission will be considered for admission when we receive copies of these documents but official documents must be received in order for you to register for classes.
The following minimum scores required for full admission to graduate programs are:
IELTS score: 6.0
TOEFL (iBT) score: 79
Pearson PTE score: 53
Portfolios
Portfolios should include assignment-based projects and/or self-directed work that demonstrate art, design, and conceptual thinking skills. The artwork should be original and cannot be reproductions of already existing artwork or designs.
Portfolio Requirements
9 to 12 original artworks including but not limited to painting, printmaking, mixed media, sculpture, animation, storyboards, character design, mixed media, collage, and drawing (self-portraits, figure drawings, object studies, still life, and landscapes). No more than five digital artwork and computer-generated images may be included.
A description sheet that includes the following information for each submitted artwork: title, medium, dimensions, date of creation, running time (if applicable).
Portfolio Review
Before you submit your portfolio, you must first apply to New York Tech. Once you submit your application, you will receive an email with your application ID from the Office of Admissions. You may also contact admissions@nyit.edu or 800.345.NYIT (6948) to request your application ID number.
There are two options to complete your portfolio review: online submission or in-person appointment.
Online Portfolio Submission
Using your application ID, upload your portfolio.
In-Person Appointment
Bring original artwork and/or printed copies. You are also encouraged to bring your sketchbook(s). Portfolios submitted in person will remain in possession of candidates. Please contact the Digital Art and Design Department to make an appointment.

Deliver strong visual messages using emerging technologies. Work with our state-of-the-art facilities that foster creative exploration, critical thinking, and professional development. In the Graphic Design, B.F.A. program, you'll produce work that demonstrates artistic expression, technical proficiency, and well-informed conceptual ideas. You'll take courses in areas from advertising and editorial to information graphics, logos and branding, motion graphics, packaging, typography, and web and interactive design and emerge with a portfolio of work that will demonstrate your professional readiness to future employers. You'll gain proficiency with the latest applications and technology-including Adobe Creative Cloud, 3-D printers, and laser cutters-and how to use them in the creation, reproduction, and distribution of visual messages.
