The Department of Teaching and Learning offers a focused, field-based teacher preparation program and a full range of graduate programs. Collaboration, diversity, and curricular integration are themes that guide the design and instruction of each of our programs and help us produce highly qualified, highly employable teachers. Our faculty are themselves licensed, experienced K-12 classroom teachers. They provide a wide range of service to the schools of Montana and are active researchers in their specialty fields. We welcome your interest in learning more about our Teacher Education programs.The Master of Education (M.Ed.) in Curriculum Studies, General Curriculum Studies option, requires a minimum of 36 graduate-level credits. 21 of these credits consist of core courses required of all master's students in the C&I Department. The remaining 15 credits are elective courses selected in conjunction with the student's advisor.
