First-year students: To be eligible for admission, freshman students must have met/be on track to meet all upper/senior secondary school requirements with the equivalent of a 2.5 GPA to be automatically considered for admission to undergraduate programs. Secondary school students/graduates: Please submit academic transcripts/mark sheets for grades 9-12 and secondary school leaving certificates, exam results or diplomas showing secondary school completion (if applicable).
Students who have completed at least one semester (12 U.S. credits) of university or post-secondary study: university transcript/mark sheets/exam results listing all courses, grades and credits/hours and diplomas/graduation certificates (if applicable). Students who qualify for transfer do not need to submit secondary school documents.IELTS-6, TOEFL IBT- 70, TOEFL PBT-525, PTE- 48

As our name implies, we are a large and excitingly diverse department, and we look forward to working with you. We offer majors in Classics (Latin, Ancient Greek), French, German, Japanese, Russian, and Spanish, and a minor in Chinese. Our faculty, graduate students, and exchange visitors are a truly global group, and all of us are dedicated to the teaching of languages, literatures, and cultures. That means, of course, that we are also dedicated to your learning success.The Department of World Languages and Cultures is accepting applications for Adjunct instructors in the French, Spanish and Italian language program areas. Qualified respondents will be part of a continuing pool of adjunct instructors who will be contacted as the need arises.<br><br>The Spanish Undergraduate Program offers courses at the beginning through upper division language, literature, and culture courses leading to a major or minor in Spanish. The major in Spanish can be an academic or a teaching degree.The first and second-year courses provide basic levels of linguistic skills to prepare the student for full participation in the upper-division program.It is important to adhere to the following sequence in the upper division courses: 301 before 408, and 311, 312 before any 400 level literature course. Spanish 301 Oral and Written Expression in Cultural Contexts is a crucial entry course into upper division work since well developed speaking and writing skills are inherent to success and expected in any of the following courses. Consultation with an advisor in the Spanish Section will help keep you on track.
