Honours degree (a four year undergraduate bachelor's degree) in English Literature or in another field relevant to public texts
Minimum B plus (77%) or equivalent in the work of the last four semesters or the last two undergraduate years (last ten full credits)
Transcripts
Post-secondary transcripts and graduation certificates (where applicable) of all previous undergraduate and graduate work are required. This includes transcripts for courses taken on a Letter of Permission, for transfer credit, or on an exchange program. Transcripts must show all course work completed and grades received. If applicable, evidence of degree completion is required. Transcript must include a grading scale or transcript legend.
Please note: Transcripts are not required to be official and final when applying to the School of Graduate Studies. Official transcripts are only required to be submitted if an applicant receives an offer of admission.
IELTS - 6.5, with no band below 6.0, TOEFL IBT - 93 (with a minimum score of 22 in both speaking and writing).

As Canadian society experiences a significant demographic shift, and new perspectives on aging become more important than ever before, earn your MA, MSc or PhD along with a specialization in Aging Studies. As a humanities, sciences or social sciences graduate student, explore the significance of aging for individuals, communities and societies, through course work and research. At Trent, an international leader in interdisciplinary aging studies, youll earn a degree and a specialization in as little as one year. Choose from a major research project or a thesis in the field of aging studies, and complete a half-credit core course on the foundations in interdisciplinary aging studies. With more than 15 faculty members undertaking research on aging studies including the Canada Research Chair in Rural Aging, Health and Social Care, and the ground-breaking Trent Centre for Aging & Society, youll be at the forefront of this bourgeoning field of scholarship. Contribute to meaningful dialogue on aging and take part in collaborative excellence as you debunk the myths about aging, old age and older populations. Be one of the first students to earn the specialization in Aging Studies as part of this innovative program. Gain critical perspectives on aging from interdisciplinary approaches in the humanities, social sciences and health studies.
