Immerse yourself in molecular biology, metabolic science and nutritional science as you research metabolic diseases in Case Western Reserve University's PhD in Nutrition program. Here, youll have access to more than 30 facilities to dig into your nutritional analyses. In addition to having access to the labs you need, the program curriculum is up to you as well. And because our program is a part of the Biomedical Sciences Training Program, you can focus on nutrition while having access to 10 other biosciences specialties from which youll choose electives. Upon earning your degree, youll be well-positioned to pursue a range of careers. Our graduates go on to lead efforts to improve public health through academia, governmental agencies, industry, nonprofit organizations or research institutes. <br><br>Enhance your understanding of stable isotopes and metabolomics through classes on topics such as nutritional biochemistry and metabolism, investigative methods in nutrition, and molecular biology. Then observe these principles in action at the top four hospital systems in ClevelandCleveland Clinic, University Hospitals, MetroHealth Medical Center and the Louis Stokes Cleveland VA Medical Centerduring clinical rotations. During these rotations, youll have the chance to find your research passions before you begin your dissertation work.
