UIndy's philosophy program lets you explore the big topics with others as curious as you are. You'll get to think through questions about meaning and morality, explore the history of philosophy, and examine the role of ethics in modern society. And as an upper-level student, you can even go beyond the questions and begin developing solutions to real-world problems. In other words, you can go from why to how and really make a difference.<br>The pre-theology concentration has been designed for students of all majors as an opportunity to explore the concept of the Christian vocation in a group setting. Led by UIndy's chaplain in the Ecumenical and Interfaith Office, the pre-theology concentration consists of a series of Christian vocation classes that offer students a chance to dig deep into the Christian tradition and explore their calling in the context of their faith.<br>With the completion of four Christian vocation courses, you'll complement your studies in prayer, worship, service and stewardship with a real-world internship opportunity.<br><br>ADVANTAGES<br>Faculty are actively involved in the Indiana Philosophical Association and have been published in a variety of publications on a diverse range of topics<br>Small class sizes encourage meaningful relationships between faculty and students<br>Upperclassmen are able to work with professors to create customized, independent study courses to help them explore their interests<br>Special topics courses are regularly tailored to student interests<br>Students gain skills in civil discourse, rational thinking, research, and communication<br>On average, students get higher scores on graduate school entrance exams than other humanities majors
