For both the Ph.D. and MA-Ph.D. options, the minimum requirements are scores of 155 on the Verbal and Quantitative GRE subtests and a 3.25 psychology GPA.
Admissions decisions are based on several criteria, including:
the student's overall and psychology grade point averages (GPA)
three letters of recommendation from persons familiar with the applicant's academic work
GRE scores (Verbal, Quantitative, and Writing)
personal statements describing interest in I/O psychology.
Persons with psychology majors or extensive backgrounds in psychology are preferred.
Please also note that admitted students must provide the Department of Psychology with an official transcript, showing proof of degree conferral from the student's institution or an official letter of completion from their university registrar's office if an official transcript is not yet available. Students who do not provide proof of degree conferral before fall semester begins are not eligible to hold an assistantship/scholarship and will be unable to register for classes.
In addition to the online application, the following are required:

Official GRE scores
Transcripts
Minimum score of 79 on the internet-based TOEFL.
A minimum score of 6.5 on the IELTS, which is managed by University of Cambridge ESOL Examinations, British Council, and IDP Education Australia. Scores more than two years old will not be accepted.

The Ph.D. program follows the scientist-practitioner model of graduate training, emphasizing the development of research skills, knowledge of I/O theory and techniques, and applied experiences. Students attain competence in the core areas of psychology--social, cognitive, biological, and individual bases of behavior--in addition to developing competencies in I/O Psychology, research, and quantitative methods.<br><br>Ph.D. students can take courses in every major area of I/O Psychology including psychometric theory and testing, personnel selection and performance evaluation, research methods, organizational psychology, motivation and leadership, information processing, training and organizational development, macro-organizational psychology, organizational psychology, computer applications, attitudes and values, industrial gerontology, and legal issues relevant to I/O.<br><br>In addition to coursework, Ph.D. students are expected to become involved in research and publishing. Typically, students will work with several faculty on research and applied projects, again leading to breadth in experience and knowledge. In addition to working with faculty on applied projects, practica and internship experiences are available as are teaching experiences. A doctoral dissertation is required of all Ph.D. students. Students are encouraged to complete the program in four to five years.
