Gain the skills to work in human resources, consultation, and development in a culturally diverse society and business by pursuing a master's degree in counseling with an organizational counseling concentration at Wright State. Your coursework and training will include group dynamics, leadership, diversity, ethics, assessment and referral, communication skills, and organizational climate, giving you the ability to contribute toward successful general development of employees and organizations. You will complete a 100-hour practicum and may also choose to complete a thesis. You will be trained to provide stress and change management, career development, decision making, professional development, time management, supervisory skills, assertion, retirement, and conflict resolution. Accumulate at least a 3.5-grade point average and you may earn a recommendation for an invitation to Chi Sigma Iota, an international academic and professional counseling honor society. Your degree program will bring together information and skills offered by the counseling faculty in the Department of Human Services, the management department in the Raj Soin College of Business, and human service professionals working with organizations. Also, learn from full-time tenure track faculty in CACREP accredited curriculums.
