国际学生入学条件
IELTS Academic-6.5 or higher (minimum of 6.5 in each sub score)
TOEFL IBT-International applicants must also have a TOEFL score of 80 or higher
TOEFL Paper Based-550 or higher.
To be considered for admission in full graduate standing, applicants must have:
(a) a four-year bachelor's degree (or equivalent) from a regionally accredited college or university. Exceptions to standard accreditation may be granted for applicants with international degrees, including applicants with three-year degrees from institutions in Europe participating in the Bologna Process.
(b) a GPA of at least 3.00 (on a 4.00 scale) in their undergraduate degrees.
Top-rated applicants will be invited to interview on the NC State campus in February. Attendance at Interview Day is highly recommended for those students who are invited, however, phone interviews can be arranged for top-ranked applicants if they are unable to participate in the on-campus interviews.
Applicants will be considered for fall admission only and will be informed of admission decisions by April 15 when possible. Typically, the program receives 50-60 applications and enrolls 3-5 PhD students per year. The same number of master's degree students is anticipated. Candidates from underrepresented populations are strongly encouraged to apply.
All of our graduate programs train students at the doctoral level. Students are selected in terms of their interest in pursuing the doctorate and the probability of their successful completion of that degree. We do not offer separate masters-level programs. Students admitted after 2015 will complete a structured second-year research project rather than a formal master's degree, although the MS may be awarded in some special circumstances upon the advice of the student's committee.
gRE- In addition to the main application, the applicant should order electronic reporting of GRE General Test scores from ETS. (Use institutional code 5496.)
Three letters are customary and expected.
Applicants should upload scanned unofficial transcripts before submitting their applications. Official transcripts are needed only when students are recommended for admission.
Criteria for admission include the match between the applicant's goals and the program training objectives, the quality of the student's academic background, as indicated by the undergraduate record and letters of recommendation, research experience, and test scores. Although no formal cut-off scores for the GRE are defined, scores greater than the 50th percentile are expected.

课程简介
The program requires 60 semester credit hours. The first two years of course work are conducted alongside PhD students admitted to the School Psychology Program described below. In addition, a summer practicum course is required for master's students prior to beginning the second year of course work. In the third year, master's students will complete a full-time 1200 hour internship in a public school district in North Carolina. The NC State University PhD School Psychology Program is accredited by the American Psychological Association. It has been accredited since 1987 and the next site visit is in 2021. Researchers in School Psychology apply broad-based knowledge and skills to enhance children's functioning across multiple domains (i.e., academic achievement, development, and mental health functioning) inside and outside of schools. Education and training include strong preparation in the academic foundations of psychology, in the research skills essential to the contribution of new knowledge, and in the competent and ethical professional practice of assessment, intervention and consultation. We emphasize prevention through consultation and intervention with parents, teachers and other care-giving adults. Graduates are eligible for licensure as health service provider psychologists in North Carolina and other states, as well as for the Nationally Certified School Psychologist (NCSP) credential. Our graduates work as psychologists in public schools, diagnostic centers, and research and academic institutions.
